A Michigan native, in 1999 I graduated from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia with a BA in English and Psychology. In 2000 I moved to St. Louis, where I lived for almost exactly a decade, to the day. After graduating in 2002 with an Master of Fine Arts in Poetry from Washington University in St. Louis, I began working for an independent book store. My writing has appeared in Nimrod Journal and Flood Stage: An Anthology of St. Louis Poets and won honorable mention in the Pablo Neruda Award. I currently live in Michigan, where I have a day job and a view at home each morning due east, with proof that at dawn the sky has a language all of its own.
Check back soon for more about my thoughts on the work I have done and the trajectory of new projects.
